Defensive Driving Course
AARP is offering a Defensive Driving Course for all interested drivers on Monday, June 10, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Joe Faggard Community Center. ESD passes
Voters approved the creation of Galveston County Emergency Services District (ESD) #2 on Saturday by a wide margin. The final vote count was 202 for, 39 against. The ESD will provide necessary funding to support emergency medical and fire protection services on the peninsula. Commissioners will be appointed in the next few weeks.

Town Hall meeting with CC Dennard
On April 23, County Commissioner Ryan Dennard held a Town Hall meeting to review what is going on in Galveston County government relating to issues on Bolivar, and get feedback from residents on those issues.
