Fishing Report For Sept 2 through Sept 9, 2013

By Ed Snyder/Outdoors
The annual September Redfish Run is in full swing with plenty of Bulls and slots in the surf and cut providing great fishing action for the anglers. Specks in the surf mainly a hit or miss event for wade anglers, but when it’s hit the waders are connecting with trout to 7 lbs. Night-shift anglers doing well at times, fishing mainly live baits. Flounder anglers picking up a few quality fish along the bulkheads with night giggers sticking nice limits on the flats. The croaker run is still sporadic with the larger golden croaker starting to run.

ED you are so right about the red run it is awesome at roll over pass for reds. croaker will be better after the reds slow down. Golden croaker will also get better after the first cool front which will come about the 2nd week in oct. my party of 4 and i caught so many reds last week until we was putting 20 to 27 inc reds back in the water. we only save our limit. THANKS
