Blue Water Bait Camp and Team RWB

Generally, we all like to steer clear of sharks…so fishing for the sneaky critter is another story. It is a sport that requires quality bait and experienced guides. Having learned to shark fish well, members of the tx-sharkfishing.com forum and the Blue Water Bait Camp hosted Team Red White & Blue for their 3rd Annual Shark Fishing Weekend. (You can find the article about Team Red White & Blue’s visit to the beach HERE). Though shark bait is a bit difficult to find these days, Curtis and Nelva Maxey of Blue Water Bait Camp so generously donated all the bait for the shark fishermen’s adventure. Sharks caught ranged from just over 3 feet to more than 6 feet long. Definitely an experience to remember.

Nelva and Curtis Maxey of Blue Water Bait Camp donated the bait for this year's outing. Carol Pennington is shown holding a stingray.

Tx-sharkfishing.com moderator Glen Dickerson remarks, “Although the weather for this year’s event was less than desirable we were still able to bring some quality sharks to the beach for the warriors’ benefit and this was directly linked to the Maxey’s generous donation.”

Glen Dickerson landed this 6-ft 4-in Bull shark.
