Saturday night, The Bolivar Peninsula Cultural Foundation presented The Dixie Swim Club production “The Faster We Swim – The Sooner We Win!” It’s a very sweet story about five Southern women who meet every August at a beach house on the North Carolina Outer Banks. The play focuses on four weekends during the thirty three year span to “catch up, laugh and meddle in each other’s lives.” Monica Miller, Alicia Moses Gust, Tammy McGary, Alana Adams & Kelita Alberts keep us in stitches throughout the performance and bring some of us to tears at the end. Thanks to the generosity of Brint Construction, Swedes Real Estate, Brad & Eve Bradford and Margo Johnson, the Dinner Theater was a smashing success, held in the banquet room at Barefoot Bill’s American Grill. Thank you to Barefoot Bill’s for providing the lovely dinner, dessert and wonderful service.
