Bolivar Peninsula Lighthouse Krewe’s June Social was held June 23rd. The event was held at John & Glenda Mastin’s home, hosted by the Mastin’s and Paul & Connie Hugon. The hosts provided a delicious selection of pulled pork sliders and sausage, and the guests brought appetizers, sides and desserts. The main purpose of the Social was to judge the posters submitted to fit the theme for the 2013 Mardi Gras Season, “Endless Summer.” Three entries were from local residents and one entry from Michigan. The Krewe chose the winning poster submitted by Tangy Attwood of Crystal Beach.
The just-for-fun contest was “Guess that Baby.” Only one person, Debby Campbell, named all the courts’ baby pictures correctly. Debby received a lovely wine gift basket.
