The Boaters Only Association of Texas, also known as the Boat Club, sponsored a Poker Run on Saturday, July 12th. The Boat Club is a non profit organization devoted to raising funds for boating, boat safety, and adult and family fun. Seventeen boats participated in this organized event in which participants visit five checkpoints, drawing a playing card at each spot. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the journey. The boaters stopped at Stingaree Marina in Crystal Beach, before heading off to the Top Water Grill in San Leon. Live music with Jerry Diaz & Hannah’s Reef entertained the boaters and onlookers.

A great time was had by all, enjoying the ride on the water, and some fancy boats too. All proceeds were donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
