Bolivar is Worth the Trip

connect_0No beach is exactly the same. And no trip to the coast is complete without a visit to Bolivar. Attendees of the Connect Texas Conference in Galveston crossed the bay and visited Bolivar on Wednesday. Their conferences were complete for the day, so the fifteen visitors boarded a shuttle and set out on their excursion organized by A Shore Venture. A Shore Venture intends to show the unique quality of Bolivar to the various event organizers and meeting planners attending the conference. They rode the ferry and began their search for beach treasures along the beautiful beaches of Bolivar. The visitors were from all over Texas, and unfortunately, most did not know Bolivar was here…until now. The weather was picture perfect and the surf was calm. They kicked off their shoes and strolled along the edge as the water tickled their toes. They began looking for sharks teeth, sea glass, or that special seashell souvenir. After about an hour on the beach, everyone hopped back on the bus for a short ride to Bolivar’s own Stingaree where they were treated to appetizers and refreshments. And now they know – no trip to Bolivar is complete until you have a world famous Stingarita.

Hopefully these visitors and first-timers will go back home and spread the word. Everyone should come to Bolivar and put their toes in the sand. It’s worth the trip!
