Another smashing success! The Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce sure knows how to throw a celebration – A record attendance by this loving community. On Tuesday, April 21st, Stingaree hosted the Annual Award Banquet. The speaker was none other than Elizabeth Alvarado, Galveston Chamber of Commerce, known to most of us as Lizzy Rogers, daughter of Pat and Maryanne Rogers. By popular vote, the following were honored:
Citizens of the Year – Brenda & Larry Flanagan
Educator of the Year – Gwen Edgar
Volunteer of the Year – Winnie Burkett
Business of the Year – Swede’s Real Estate.
To top it all off, an award was presented by the Chamber President, Bob Morgan, to Swede’s Real Estate for their 60th Year in Business! Swede’s – SO DESERVING!
