Cheers for Sweets

sale0Our High Island Cheerleaders hosted their Annual Bake Sale on Saturday at the Big Store to help raise money to send students to cheerleader camp. They were blessed with sunny weather and large Easter crowds in town to help support their efforts. Everyone needs more sweet treats on the Easter table. From delicious cakes to gorgeous pies; there was no shortage of selection to choose from. All the goodies were baked by parents, family, and friends, and the baked goods went home to donating patrons. One parent, Brice Borden, baked 14 sweet potato pies to represent each of the 14 cheerleaders. The successful bake sale raised over $1500. The High Island Cheerleaders are well on their way to cheer the 2017-2018 football and basketball teams to victory. Thank you to all for the support.
