We have a new food venue on Bolivar – The Crabby Snack Shack! Offering burgers, chicken, dogs, nachos, shrimp poboys, sausage, and much more. There’s nothing “crabby” about the personality and friendliness of Pam, the owner. She’s been dreaming of having her own restaurant for years, “it’s in my blood…my Mom had a restaurant.” So it was only a matter of time and planning until Pam had her own custom trailer built and set up for her inaugural opening at the Jane Long Festival. Now the Crabby Snack Shack is located at the corner of 22nd and Hwy 87 in Port Bolivar, about a mile and a half from the ferry. “People are finding me, it’s been great! And I’m trying my hand at the delivery thing…delivering to schools and other businesses.” Perhaps the most admirable part of her business plan, Pam has a suggestion box. She wants the Shack to make what you, the customers, want. If you’ll eat it, she’ll make it. And Pam explains, “if it sells well, I’ll keep it on the menu.” Chad helps her run the pit on Saturdays. He prepares brisket, chicken, sausage, and maybe even ribs from time to time. Stop by and support our local businesses, including our newcomer, The Crabby Snack Shack!
