FantaSea BBQ and Grill is a familiar eatery in Gilchrist offering great burgers, BBQ, and all the fixin’s. FantaSea was established in 2010 and is owned and operated by Pam and Warren Adams. Now they are expanding to offer a seafood menu. Pam retired from the corporate world late last year and devotes full time to FantaSea. Just before retirement, traveling for a business trip, she visited a seafood restaurant featuring steamed seafood specialties. It gave her the idea to expand FantaSea and offer similar items. And so, Pam and Warren converted their upper deck to a seafood cafe. They offer crab legs, peel and eat shrimp, oysters on the half-shell, and of course a full range of draft and bottled beers, wine, and soda. FantaSea upstairs now features a covered deck with outdoor bar and picnic tables, nice breezes and great views of the gulf, bay, and Rollover Pass.
On Saturday, FantaSea celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in which friends, family, and Chamber of Commerce members were on hand. Visitors were treated to a sampling of shrimp and oysters while live music was provided by local artist Staci Butler.
The downstairs dining area still offers the best in burgers and BBQ, where Pam runs the kitchen, while the upstairs features new seafood deliciousness, where Warren cares for customers. FantaSea opens at 11:00 am Thursday through Sunday. Drop by to see Pam and Warren.
