For The Beach Or the City

This room says beach in so many ways. Painting the back of the white hutch lime green highlights the beautiful white coral and shells. This is a perfect way to showcase your treasures. The large tropical botanical prints on either side of the hutch creates the beach atmosphere. When looking for colors for your beach house you can be brave with brighter colors. If you are not comfortable using bright colors on your walls, these white walls are accented by beautiful colors on the chairs and pillows that work well because they are on opposite ends of the color wheel. CS_2014-0805-1These colors go together perfectly and make the room Wow, not just nice. If you notice the chairs do not look new, but are beautiful because of the upholstery. If any of you need something recovered, I have a great guy in Galveston that is very reasonable. Enjoy your home and just be sure it is you, not anyone else’s idea of you!

WHAT IS “BEACH CHIC”?
A design style comprised of a combination of clean lines and organic finishes that work together to create a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. The color scheme is inspired by the beach and the natural environment of sun, sea and sand!

Just Hanging Around!

This is a quick and easy way to make a Nautical towel holder. All it takes is some medium sized jute rope and a few hooks and you are done! For a double rack like this, find the center point of your rack width. That is where your first hook will go. Then fasten a hook equal distance to the middle hook. Make a nice knot on each end and attach to the outside hooks. Drape the rope on the middle hook and just like that you have an inexpensive and individual towel rack!
