As fast as the summer came into play,
It also left us much the same way.
But memories of beach joy will always bring grins,
To those whom were lucky enough to have been.
I have combed the beach for shells, driftwood, and glass,
Bringing home these treasures to remember beach pasts.
The changing tides, waves tumbling roll after roll,
Those sounds of the Gulf comfort my soul.
I’ve been blessed and I’m thankful for this peninsula runs through my veins,
Forever in my heart this beach will remain.
