Full Moon on the Beach

fullmoon-00A record crowd flocked to the beach Friday night for Jerry Diaz’ annual Full Moon Party with a big thanks to Barry Terrell. This year, the party was moved farther down the beach to the washout to allow for more sitting and dancing space for party-goers. The beach chairs were set, the music was in tune, the snacks were fresh, and the drinks were cold. A big stage was moved in as crowds started showing up hours before the sun began to set. Tracy Byrd opened the show, accompanied by Eric Currie. And Landshark was there again this year to hand out complimentary beer to thankful patrons. No better time than a summertime full moon on the beach to enjoy some music and dancing with friends and family.

I’m not a local boy but this sure looks like fun. Never been to Crystal beach. Have always gone to Galveston and it has gotten pretty nasty and rowdy. Not to mention the surf. Is this just for Crystal beach/Bolivar beach folks? As I am of the older gen., alcohol is way down my list of beverages. Where exactly is this washout? Thanks.
