Crystal Beach – Where else can you go to a free concert on the beach? This was the scene last Friday night, hundreds of people on the beach at the wash out. It was Jerry Diaz & Hanna’s Reef’s annual Full Moon Party on the beach. Del Papa was there, as usual, handing out about 30 cases of free beer, the pretty girls were passing out sunglasses and throwing beach balls to the crowd. One guy was just walking on the beach, like he did every evening around 6 or so, when he noticed the crowd…and free beer.
Nowhere to park? It’s okay, just leave the keys in the golf cart in case someone needs to move it to get their golf cart out.
We set up our beach chairs and arranged our coolers around us, about 6 of our immediate neighbors, after visiting over at Vicky’s for some yummy snacks. We were all prepared, Vicky wore her bathing suit under her sundress, just in case she had to go on out into the surf to relieve herself. Lydia wasn’t so prepared. When nature called, she had to go out in her cut offs. Too bad, she forgot she had her cell phone in her back pocket. Looks like a trip into town for Lydia on Monday.
