Gosh, I wish I had a picture

Sometimes, I think I’ve seen it all, then holy cow, here comes Nikko riding up the street on his bike. Don’t get me wrong, THIS is NOT an unfamiliar sight around these parts. But what he was wearing … almost made me run off the side of the road. So anyway, a friend came in to the office today and of course we had a lot to catch up on. No, I do not mean gossip! She told me about her “Nikko sighting,” so I wasn’t too surprised when I saw him (her). She’s quite lovely in a strapless little thing and her hair is quite stylish. I do hope she’s wearing some sunscreen. If anyone isn’t friends with Nick on FB, you need to be. He wrote the most excellent poem, but I can’t publish it without permission.

How can you be too surprised by anything you may see? Aren’t we the kind of trend setters over here? Or should I say Bohemian characters of the past? At any rate, THE LOCALS are to be taken seriously. We’re NOT kidding! We are what we are and that’s why we’ve chosen to live over here.

I don’t care what anybody says I say about you guys, you’re all Number One Kooks in my eyes, and that’s why I care to be JUST LIKE YOU!

GO’s Sand Bucket is only one beach bum’s journal of life at the beach, probably something each of you can relate to. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts, visions and/or feelings of just exactly what the beach means to you. Email: [email protected]
