Liberty HS students participate in Earth Day Project

LibertyHS_0April 22 every year is a day to show our appreciation for the Earth we’ve been given. A day to plant a tree, clean up the land, and enjoy the outdoors for all its glory. This year’s Earth Day project organized by the Liberty High School students was a Bolivar Trash Pick-up Day. Members of the Interact Club, the student group sponsored by Rotary Club, and the Leo Club, another student group sponsored by the Lions Clubs, brought together 33 students who were excited to participate and have a day off of school to show support for our Earth. They may have been away from the classroom, but they worked hard to clean the Peninsula spending hours picking up trash along the beaches and streets. As the sun was shining on that beautiful day, they managed to collect many beach treasures as well. And, they topped off their day with lunch at Stingaree. Thank you to our caring Liberty High Students for bringing the true meaning of Earth Day to Bolivar.
