Rainy Days

I hope most of you were able to make it through last weekend without killing each other. Rain, Rain, go away is an understatement. RR has been working on combining our 35mm slides and putting them on the computer and a jump drive. His next project will be the storage boxes of 51 years of picture albums. I spent much of the rainy days trying to decide what really needs to be in this small space and what can go to storage. The problem with that thought is I would get sidetracked. Then hours would go by and I still had not finished my first project. I had insisted that I have space for Christmas items, just a few, but I had to have them. When I took them down the other day most was not what I wanted up for Christmas. So off to the storage unit with half of what I carried all the way to Maine and back, and what came home was perfect for our new home. There really was no room for a tree of any size, so I strung the garland and hung ornaments from the garland.

I got two drawers cleaned out and worked on my closet, folding the summer shirts and hanging the long sleeves. Boy were they wrinkled from the storage boxes. I know hanging them will help, NOT! What is really funny is I took four pair of jeans, several jackets, and long sleeve T-shirts to Maine. I did not wear one long sleeve shirt and only jeans one time when it was raining and cool.

I got the house cleaned and dusted, now what? Oh OK, those wrinkled shirts, NO!!! I went looking for the iron, I know I had one, somewhere. I did find a steamer I had purchased many years ago. I guess I thought it would travel better than an iron. How do you work this thing? No instructions – I guess I’ll wing it. That thing worked wonders! Why had I not used it before? Ten shirts in no time and steamed to perfection. Who Knew?
