Pre-Ike and Post-Ike…we can all relate. And this Pre-Ike home that was greatly damaged during the storm and has become more and more of an eyesore to passers by, is finally removed and relocated. The house that once sat on Hwy 87 next to the Big Store took a little joy ride. It traveled as a whole, across the highway, inched down the neighborhood street, and cruised down the beach to its new home. Workers even had to lift power lines and remove road signs for the house to pass by. This must have been quite an undertaking with a little pre-navigation planning. But in the end, this home made it to its final destination and can once again be restored to its original glory. Welcome Home!
