2016 Texas Crab Festival – Bigger, Better, Tastier!

TCF_0503-0With an exciting music lineup, fun contests and events all weekend long, get ready to get down and get crabby Gulf Coast Style in Crystal Beach, Texas. The 2016 Annual Texas Crab Fest kicks off its 31st year with big flavor, big entertainment and big fun this Mother’s Day Weekend, Friday, May 6th – 8th, 2016. Enjoy a variety of fresh, unique crab and seafood dishes along with traditional festival favorites. Watch as contestants battle it out for the title of the Texas Crab Festival’s “Best Crab Gumbo” Proceeds from the contest benefit the Lone Survivor Crystal Beach retreat, which serves the needs of our U.S. veterans and their families. Sit down to a table full of flavor with bbq crabs, a big bowl of gumbo and a bucket of crawfish while you jam to music from the main stage.

This year’s music lineup includes crowd favorite Grammy-winning Zydecajun artist Wayne Toups on Friday night, with chart-topping Country music legend Mark Chesnutt headlining on Saturday. Sunday it’s smooth sailing with the sounds of Jerry Diaz and Hanna’s Reef. Plus many more great bands will be taking the stage all-day every day of the Festival. There’s also a Kid’s Stage featuring a ton of entertainment for the tikes.

2016 brings even more fun events, contests and games to the Crab Fest than ever before. In addition to the traditional Crab Legs Pageant and Wiener Dog Races we’ve added an annual Washers Tournament and even more games in the Crab Arcade! And be sure to sign up for the Donnie Vondra Memorial Two-Step Dance Contest Friday evening – you just may boot-scoot your way into the winner’s circle!

Browse some of the most unique Arts & Crafts booths you’ll find at any festival, anywhere. Local and nationally known artists will be offering a variety of fine art, coastal crafts, handmade furniture, fun sculptures and yard art, jewelry and more. Don’t forget to check out the live auction Saturday night – you never know what treasures you’ll find at the Crab Fest!
