A Clean Beach is a Happy Beach

cleanup0Spring cleaning doesn’t only occur in our homes…it spreads to our yards and beloved beaches as well. Over 250 volunteers of all ages were seen around Bolivar Peninsula picking up trash and debris as part of the annual Adopt-A-Beach Spring Cleanup. After a busy spring break season with many visitors coming to the peninsula, a cleanup was much appreciated. After the cleanup, the participants were treated to lunch prepared by the Crystal Beach Volunteer Fire Department and the Bolivar Lions Club. A special Thanks to Exxon/Mobil for providing all the food, snacks, and T-shirts. And Thanks to Walgreens for providing the chips, water, and drinks. Most of all, Thanks to all the volunteers for helping to keep the beaches clean and pristine for all to enjoy.
