A Day in the Life of “Principal For A Day”

Elaine Rollfing arrived bright and early at Crenshaw School on February 3, 2017. She had a special job to do that day. The Crystal Beach Lions Club hosts a Poker Run and auction each August. All money from this event is donated to Crenshaw and High Island Schools for school supplies. Elaine outbid everyone at the auction to win PRINCIPAL FOR A DAY, and this was not just any old day, but a celebration for the 100th Day of School.

Mrs. Rollfing was not only the principal. She also served as grand marshal for the 100 Days of School Parade. Elaine, wearing her shirt with 100 buttons, happily led the march around Crenshaw School Building. Students delighted in their one day principal. They thought she did a fine job. Elaine declared she hoped to win Principal For A Day again at the next Lions Club Poker Run because she just had so much fun. Everyone wishes her good luck in 2017!
