A Fond, Sad Farewell !

Women from diverse parts of the Bolivar Community gathered at the Tiki Bar on August 24th to bid a fond, but sad farewell to Patsy Horn. Patsy and husband Gary are moving to Galveston. The Horns have been outstanding residents on the peninsula for over 20 years. Patsy chaired many committees. She was active in The Crystal Beach Fishing Club, Bay Vue UMC and Community Church. Mrs. Horn has led Gentle Exercise Classes on the land and in the pool both before and after Hurricane IKE.

She has multiple varied talents. Her organizational skills are always in demand, and no one can produce a Garage Sale like Patsy. Her knitting abilities are famous. Receiving a special gift created by Patsy is an honor. Cooking is another of her outstanding endeavors. Many recipients benefited from her kind generosity. Patsy is one of those quiet people who can get things done. She says she can be replaced, but those of us who know her know that it takes a lot of people to do what Patsy Horn alone can do. She will be greatly missed. The sad part of saying a fond farewell is that she is leaving. The good news is that Patsy is only going across the pond. We hope to visit often with the Horns and wish them the best of luck and happiness in their new home.
