Aqua = Calm!

When I drive down the beach, each week a new, gorgeous, huge beach house appears. When you have a very large room sometimes it is overwhelming trying to figure out furniture placement! In the room here, I love the calm aqua walls with the rest of the room being white. Looking at this room, I can see they took the color inspiration from the aqua garden stool next to the couch! It is the exact color. I use garden stools as end tables in areas that are not large enough for a regular table and would create a smaller traffic flow. Notice how the white furniture has the same aqua piping around the pillows and the sofa edges. By using the two seating areas, you are able to have different conversation areas and it breaks up the size of this area! There are chairs in every nook and cranny so they can be brought out for those times when you have a party! I love the combination of styles, the eclectic use of different woods and the see through acrylic coffee table make this space informal and beach chic at the same time! Anyone would be proud to call this home! One of my favorites!

“HOW TO” … Make a Memories Grouping

This is a wonderful and easy way to show off the good times you have at the beach. Wait for a craft store that has their open frames on sale for ½ price and you will have your basic project more than half done. Decide what color you want the frame to be so it matches your décor. Once again you cannot go wrong with white. Once you have the frame the way you want it, hang it on the wall and pin your pictures of all the great times at the beach. Color coordinate the stick pins and you have just added another layer of beauty. On the internet I have found stick pins for bulletin boards in all type of styles, if you can find something with a clip it would be even better. Enjoy the fun your children and friends will have remembering the good times at the beach. Change them as often as you want and it will be the first thing people will go to when they visit! Enjoy this simple, fun way to share your fun!
