Peninsula Sports Park is expanding to offer Youth Soccer this Fall to kids ages 4-14 years old. This is another great opportunity to support the fitness of our youth. Come out to Gregory Park at 10am on either Saturday, August 11th or Saturday, August 25th to sign-up your kiddos. The season will run from September 24th to November 17th

The Port Bolivar Volunteer Fire Department is hosting their 19th Annual BBQ Cookoff on August 17th and 18th. Competitors start cooking on Saturday morning. Cooks will work on everything from brisket and chicken to sausage and beans. For the non-competitors, BBQ Dinners will be ready for sale on Saturday from 11am-5:30pm.

Bay Vue United Methodist Church will be holding a special worship service to honor the people who have taught, encouraged, and uplifted our lives. TEACHER APPRECIATION SUNDAY will be held on August 26, 2018 at 9:00 AM. All Bolivar teachers, as well as retired teachers, are invited to come and be part of a special service where we will also be asking God’s blessing on our Sunday school teachers.
