Barefoot Living, By B.

You know what? People down here are creative and resourceful.

Sue Softee, who grew up in Port Neches and has a beautiful house in Tidelands, showed me her most recent projects.

Sue’s homage to the lost houses where she picked up colorful pieces of tile and asbestos siding and glued them on the pillings of her new house.

A small deer antler mount that she attached found at the beach objects to.

A second mount has more random beach objects.

She took an old door and turned it into an elegant table.

Notice the legs.

She made an oyster chandelier with oysters from Crystal Beach.

She has a passion for purple.

And her purple rental house will be finished soon.
