The Big Red Barn was the setting for this year’s Crab Festival Volunteers’ Appreciation Party. A big THANKS was given to all the volunteers that helped make the 2012 Texas Crab Festival a success. “Without volunteers, there would not be a Crab Festival,” Chamber of Commerce President Mac McDonald told the crowd. The Crab Festival is the Showcase event for Bolivar Peninsula, and next year will be the 28th year for the festival.
Thanks to Tim Byrom and BRINT Construction for hosting the event. Tim cooked a huge BBQ feast of ribs, brisket, chicken, pork, and sausage. Tim was the site manager for the festival, and along with the entire BRINT team, did a great job in making sure the festival ran smoothly.
Mac McDonald, who served as this year’s chairman of the crab festival, introduced Tom Osten as Chairman for the 2013 Crab Festival, and Sid Jackson as Co-Chair. They are already making plans for next year and will be publishing a meeting schedule very soon.
