Bay Vue United Methodist recently inaugurated its CHILDREN’S CHURCH that is available during the 9:00 AM Sunday Service. Pastor Valerie Hudson invites all children to a special room created just for them. Church School Superintendent Trish Smith and Safe Sanctuary certified members have planned wonderful activates for children from ages 4 through 5th grade. Infants and children up to 3 years of age have a nursery. Children create their own name tags and learn a name song. Bible verses, or stories, with illustrations are read aloud. This is followed by a craft time that coincides with the Biblical offering. Painting with watercolors, decorating sea shells, and coloring pictures for framing are just a few of the projects. Everyone sings together as a finale for this happy time. Children are allowed to pick out songs for the group. The children are returned to their adults when the activities are completed. They proudly display their creations and tell about their special time. Bay Vue welcomes all comers.
