Captain Bryan’s Fishing Report, 9-15-2020

By Captain Bryan Brawner
Galveston East Bay conditions are continuing to improve each day now although we have rescheduled some trips due to some strong NE winds. I will take it though as this is an ideal pattern for this time of year! Fish are in a good late summer/early fall pattern with some birds working sporadically in the bay.

Action had been steady on mid bay oyster reefs keying on slicks and active feeding. We still have to keep on the move to find groups of keeper size fish among all of the small ones. Soft plastics are the only way to go this time of year in the bay with Down South lures still working for me.

I don’t run hunting trips so I continue to offer fishing adventures 7 days a week now. There has been talk about more fresh water coming down from Lake Livingston to Trinity. As of now that is not our problem and it will have very little or no impact on East Bay.

I have some days still open toward the end of September and the October/November prime times and also some opportunities for classes. On the Water Classes/ Seminars are the Best time you will ever invest in to improve your fishing success for the long haul! I have added some special features this year!

Fall is booking up now with prime days for some of the best fishing of the year still available.

Everything is shaping up good in Galveston East Bay for an outstanding Fall fishing season now! We still have some September days that we can run some on the water classes. October and November are booking up quickly now that the storm is behind us. A few weekend days are still available.

This time of year we can run trips where the whole family can be successful with a large variety of fish. Email for questions and availability. Now is the time to book an East Bay Class with the prime fishing just around the corner.

For exact fishing locations and techniques, I am conducting one-on-one classes of the Galveston East Bay System. We will spend a half-day trip exploring that bay and the techniques and timing of fishing there. Bring your hand-held GPS and a map and note pad and I will further your knowledge of the bay and patterns for fishing in all of the seasons of the year. These classes include everything from locations to tackle and lure selection; thus have a lot of content. So, I limit them to 2 persons max at a time. Call 409-256-1265 for more information. We cover a lot of area and burn a lot of gas.

Text or call 409-256-1265 for availability of trips and to reserve your fishing adventure. You can also e-mail me [email protected] for updated fishing conditions and trip availability.

emailed you you a week or so ago..

Captain Bryan, wondering if your East bay class is available 16th or 17th of October. I just need details, , do you require deposit or I can settle up at launch. My wife is a beginner, was going to bring her to take some notes and learn a little, I’ve been fishing G town for 25 yrs, we built a house off of the north Jetty last year, I run a 22ft Pathfinder, never learned east bay outside of the Hanna’s fave spot for all(almost called no fish reef these days) ,fished mostly Trinity and Eagle point area some West Bay..

Look forward to hearing from you,

    thanks
