County hires new Economic Development Director

GCTO Crystal Beach Open Delayed One Week

Due to the potential storm threat, the Crystal Beach GCTO satellite office will not open Tuesday, June 16th as regularly scheduled. It will instead open next Tuesday, June 23rd. Signage has been or will be prepared and posted at the Crystal Beach location.

VOLUNTARY EVACUATION ORDERED FOR BOLIVAR PENINSULA

Effective at noon today, County Judge Mark Henry has issued a voluntary evacuation order for residents of Bolivar Peninsula which include the unincorporated areas of Port Bolivar, Crystal Beach, High Island and Gilchrist. The National Weather Service has predicted 5-12 inches of rain starting this evening into the early morning hours tomorrow. The potential rain coupled with a possible high tide will likely flood roads on Bolivar Peninsula. Parts of State Highway 87 near High Island are already experiencing flooding along the roadway.

CCATrinity Valley CCA Invitational Fishing Tournament, May 16, 2015, hosted at Stingaree Marina & Restaurant, 1297 N. Stingaree Rd, Crystal Beach, Texas. Contestants must be members of CCA.
