You Are Invited! Stop by Gallery by the Gulf to meet CATHERINE at an Artist’s Reception, Saturday, February 6, 10am-4pm. 1980 Hwy 87, Crystal Beach.

Catherine explains how she got her start in painting. “I started painting as a child with the watercolor trays we all used to get for Christmas. As a young mother I stopped to raise my children and picked it up again about 18 years ago.

I didn’t start to paint professionally until a series of life changing events led me to the beach and back to the paints. I use a bright happy palette and love to paint what I see at the beach.

Often I pick up items off the beach and collage them into my paintings to make others aware that we need to stop trashing our beaches.

I am grateful to all the wonderful people who buy my art! “
