Comeaux wins by two in Thursday PAR 3: Eagle wins Sunday Playoff

Mike Comeaux’s neat scorecard Thursday had 5-3s and 4-4s for a 4 over par 31, besting Mike Mitchell, Dabney Harrison, and Mike VanZandt by two shots. Nice shooting Michael. Shannon O’Brien, Jentry Weisinger and Aaron Comeaux won the Sunday scramble against Mike Comeaux, Charlie Brannan, and legendary Dewey Jones in a one hole playoff. It was the second consecutive win for O’Brien and Weisinger on Sunday. Playoffs normally start on the Par 3 Road hole at the Ranch, but Sunday’s playoff began on the Par 5-4th hole. Head golf pro Mike Mitchell pulled the switch to intentionally derail the hot Charlie Brannan, who birdied the road hole earlier on his own ball. Jentry Weisinger (High Island Hunk and Kristin Munsch’s boyfriend), smoked a drive down the center of the fairway. Aaron Comeaux hit a wedge on the green 35 feet from the hole and after watching the poor putting Weisinger leave his putt fifteen feet short, slammed his putt into the hole for a tournament winning eagle. Shannon O’Brien contributed nothing in the playoff but was first in line to receive his share of the winnings. Following the scramble, Shannon shot a fine one-over-par 37 from the white tees, beating a lackluster fivesome of Sunday irregulars. Don’t forget the Crab Fest Golf Tournament this Saturday.
