Driftwood Subdivision presents checks to the charities selected by the winners of their 6th Annual Charity Gumbo Cookoff.

Driftwood Subdivision holds a Gumbo Cookoff each year at the home of Brian and Jackie Sticker. This popular gathering is attended by folks from all up and down the peninsula who come to sample the gumbo, listen to the live music, and just hang out with friends. This is a charity event and all proceeds are donated to a local organization selected by the first place winners. This year, Jacob’s Ladder and Peninsula Sports Park were chosen, and each were presented with a check for $2,896.00.

Driftwood Subdivision HOA President Everett Johnson presents check to Jan Kent. Jan said the money will go toward much needed electrical work at the Jacob’s Ladder group home in High Island.
