“Can You Feel the Love Tonight?”
There was magic everywhere! Elaine Rollfing’s 60th birthday celebration was in complete harmony with the night. Loving husband Dennis Rollfing tapped Mary Anne Harrison to create a sparkling atmosphere that included music, fireworks and even a magical mirror. White table cloths with golden runners and centered flower arrangements adorned the outside dining area at the Rollfings’ home. Special areas displayed crystal filled glass vases.
Dennis and Greg Holcombe are the kings of barbecue, and they didn’t disappoint. A buffet table groaned with succulent brisket and ribs. Delicious side dishes came compliments of family and friends. Numerous helpers included Nicole Horvath, Rita Moseley, Gerry Lang, Tom Harrison and Charles Moseley. Guests kept going back for seconds, thirds, and so on, and so on and so on. People quickly grabbed special cookies decorated with Elaine’s name.
Magic Mirror Photo Booth from JAMVAevents had long lines of folk waiting to have their pictures taken. Costumes were even provided if one wished to dress up. This was a magical mirror that took photos, printed pictures and sent the shots to cell phones. Of course there was music. Joe Mendoza and The Shuffle Band had all ages dancing and shuffling to their dazzling productions.
Then came that most special moment. Mary Anne rolled out the scrumptious cake. Elaine Rollfing, dressed in her Grand Marshal of The Poker Run attire, looked every inch the princess of the evening as patrons jumped eagerly to their feet and rendered a standing ovation version of Happy Birthday. As Elaine started to thank everyone, fireworks blazed across the sky. Joy permeated the very air. Hugs, kisses, more hugs, more dancing, more photos and still a little more eating finished out this magical night. It was indeed a Happy 60th birthday for the lovely, loving Elaine Rollfing.
And the question posed at the beginning of this article can be answered with a resounding, “YES!”
