Ellie Pollard and friends celebrated her birthday with a luncheon at La Playita on October 24. It was a most festive occasion. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food, although no one was clear as to which birthday we were honoring. Rita Moseley’s scrumptious homemade carrot cake sported only one candle as did a charming birthday macaroon.

A delightful surprise awaited the party goers after finishing off cake and taking numerous celebratory photographs. They were informed when they checked out that a gentleman dining up front had paid for all of their meals. Mr. John R. Dafonte treated the entire group. He and Keith Underhill thought the ladies deserved this generous birthday gift. The ladies were thrilled and most grateful.

Ellie’s ? birthday of 2017 was not only a delight for Ellie, but for her friends as well. We all look forward to 2018 when we will gather again for Ellie’s ? birthday!
