Summary: BIG CHANGE THIS WEEK. As of Thursday Nov 1, 2012; The flounder limits change from 5 per day to just two per day. This special TP&W flounder conservation program will change back to 5 flounder per day on December 1, 2012. Reds and croaker were the big items this past week with bull croaker measuring up to 17 inches and bull red fish to 48 inches. Keeper flounder were hitting with several keepers to 20-plus; the recent cold front got the flatfish moving through the cut.

Speckled Trout:
Some surf and cut daytime action but for the most part it’s strictly night action producing the bulk of the speck catches. (Size/limits: 15 to 25 inches for 10 specks with only one over 25 inches per day as part of the daily limit).
Red fish:
Pretty Doggone Good with plenty of slot and bull reds keeping anglers busy hooking up to some amazing action. (Size/limits: 20 inches to 28 inches for 3 reds, with one over 28 inches when tagged as part of the 3 fish daily slot-limit).
Flounder:
This past cold front got the flat fish off the flats and moving thru the cut. Predictions are that this years flounder run should surpass last years. Some flounder catches are already in the 20 plus inch range. REMEMBER, NOVEMBER 1st marks the flounder limit dropping to 2 a day. (Size/limits: 14 inches minimum for 5 flounder per day).
Black Drum:
Good drum action with plenty of keeper eaters filling the coolers. The big bulls are running as well with some going to 38 inches. Most anglers are heeding the 30 inch rule but a few are not. Do you want to have your day ruined by stiff fines?- If so, then keep on keeping and your wish will come true! REMEMBER, ALL drum under 14 inches and over 30 inches MUST be released. (Size/limits: 5 per day at 15-30 inches).
Sand/Gulf Trout:
Sand and gulf trout are still a good bet for anglers who want to fill their fish fry boxes with some excellent eating. (No limits).
Whiting/Croaker AWESOME, Really big bull whiting and Bull croaker being caught with whiting hitting the scales at 2lbs and croaker stretching to 17inches. (No Limits).
Crabs:
CRABS are still CRABBING anglers baits so come and get them PLEASE!
Blue Crab:
Size/Limits- must be 5 inches across carapace (point-to-point). No creel limits, BUT ALL SPONGE CRABS (egged females) MUST BE RELEASED.
Stone Crabs:
Right claw only is kept if two are present. Stones with only one claw must be released. Right claw must be 2-1/2 inches from the knuckle before being kept.
Stingaree Marina and Bait Camp Report:
Wind Rules, when wind alerts despair then repair to the marsh areas along the intra-coastal for protection and good fishing for trout, reds, and flounder. When winds are down hit the bay structure for some hot trout and red action under the birds, or trout, reds, and flounder action from the bay salt marshes.
