Full Moon Party – Crystal Beach style

fullmoon_00Jerry Diaz and his Hanna’s Reef band performed their popular brand of Texas Beach Music last Friday night to the delight of the large crowd gathered for his annual Full Moon Beach Party. A very popular event, beach goers came early to set up chairs and break out the beverages and snacks. The Landshark folks were on hand with a huge tub of complimentary beer, and the music began around 7 pm. As the sun went down, the almost-full moon lit up the cloudless sky and provided the perfect beach party backdrop.

Around 8, Jerry and his band took a break and a couple of other guitarists stepped up. One was none other than Tracy Byrd, singing a few of his hit songs, accompanied by Eric Currie. Folks were singing and dancing to all the familiar tunes, beach style…only in Crystal Beach. Thanks to Jerry and Tracy and all the other musicians for a memorable evening.

We took the ferry for the 1st time. Loved Crystal Beach and heard about the Full Moon live band. Sadly we couldn’t stay another night so we missed it. I want to know what is the best side street to the beach for this particular event? We are bringing our RV next year. So many miles of beach, we want to be close to this one. Also, is there a blog where I can ask questions? Thanks, Marsha
