Fun At Sea!

We, RR & me, went to sea with Rene’s family to celebrate Jason’s year after that horrible accident. Jason still has problems walking up stairs but does a great job walking on flat land. He has some really fancy hearing aids that can answer the phone and listen to music and every once in a while hear what his wife is saying. LOL! We spent a week on the eastern Caribbean, first to Key West, then to the Bahamas, Freeport and Nassau. If you get a chance, take this cruise.

First port was Key West. We took the Trolley to tour the entire Island, best way if a few people have never been to Key West and have trouble walking. If you do the trolley tour and you are staying awhile you can pick out places to go back and visit. The trolley is hop on – hop off. So we did the entire ride and decided to walk the main street and have lunch at Margaritaville. We had several beverages while we were there, too. That makes the price of T shirts so much easier to accept.

Second port was Freeport. They, the kids (all four), took off for the beach, banana boat rides and seadoo rides. We spent a quiet day on the ship. We had heard that the crime on Freeport was really bad. Anything but! The other side of the island where they went to play was beautiful with $$$ homes and white sand beaches. Do not believe everything you hear. Jason had a blast, but came back limping with a big smile on his face.

Next port was Nassau. The boys, Jason, Josh, & Jon were off to play in the blue water and Rene’ and I went pub crawling. RR had a very quiet day and I think he slept most of the day. Wise Man! Next day was a day at sea, Jason slept all day and night. We, RR, Rene’ and me poked monies on the one arm bandits.

Stay tuned, more to come.
