Golfers Swing For Santa

The Bolivar Peninsula Lions Club kicked off the holiday season with their annual Golf Tournament on Saturday. “Swinging for Santa” benefits local families for Christmas, helping put smiles on children’s faces this holiday season. Forty golfers teed it up at The Ranch, Wallis Smith Community Golf Course, playing for prize money and bragging rights, of course. Many generous sponsors and loyal volunteers helped to raise money for this cause.

Tim Turner’s Team came in first with a stellar 63, Michael Dupree’s Team took second, and Shannon O’Brien’s Team was third. Marsha Fredenberg and Robin Giddens celebrated Closest to the Pin winnings. Thanks to all the golfers and supporters. Christmas is off to a jolly start!
