Galveston County property owners wishing to pay half of their property taxes half now (and the second half June 30, 2015) have until December 1st to have that first payment postmarked in order to avoid penalty and interest on the second half. Only three County Tax Office collection customers have opted out of this payment option – the City of Dickinson, Dickinson ISD and Galveston County MUD #12 (Bayou Vista) which means taxes for those jurisdictions must be paid in full by February 2nd unless you are eligible for senior, disabled person or disabled veteran installments.
