It was a grand Holiday Celebration at Margo Johnson’s house on December 7. The Bolivar Peninsula Cultural Foundation (BPCF) Board recognized members who have contributed to the foundation. This festive occasion included honoring BPCF volunteers and Beach Art Project Artists. Eve Bradford and Glenda Mastin were noted for their outstanding contributions to the organization and community. Margo thanked Charlotte Stirling for her service with many offices and committees. Charlotte and Glenda created the popular Gallery on the Gulf, and the gallery had a great run. Brenda Flanagan honored D.J. Kava, Margo Holtz, Klela Bentley, and Janie Mayfield for their beautiful beach art creations. Klela also serves as website facilitator for BPCF.
BPCF pledges to support the arts, music and history of Bolivar Peninsula. They have several projects in the works and welcome anyone who would like to help. Their lecture series will continue with world famous birder and naturalist Victor Emmanuel scheduled for April. BPCF is also working with Bolivar Beautiful to commission lighthouse statues to be stationed all over the peninsula.
Margo Johnson thanked all who attended this lovely event. The holiday celebration continued with bounteous quantities of delicious food and drink. What a great way to start the holidays!!
