I’m retired and today, I got too stressed!

The printer at the office, Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, simply gave up – it just stopped. There was an error code on the screen. We don’t have a contract on our printer anymore, but I called the office, knowing there wasn’t a contract, but acting like I really expected someone to come to my rescue. Then, my boss and his wife showed up, and pulled up a chair at my desk. My immediate thought was, “oh my gosh, I’m being fired!” Actually, they were only killing some time before going out to lunch. An awful Monday morning, turned into something quite amazing.

The Technician, who was scheduled to come fix our unauthorized printer, with all of us on speakerphone, walked me through the process of unclogging our poor printer. After 2 or 3 tries, this beautiful machine powered up and performed like a champ! Very critical these days as we’re trying to print out volumes for the 29th Texas Crab Festival.

Oh, by the way, have I asked you to pray for good weather for this weekend? See you all at Gregory Park – come on out beginning Friday night for Wayne Toups, stay with us for the entire weekend – Sunday is FREE. Happy Mother’s Day!

GO’s Sand Bucket is only one beach bum’s journal of life at the beach, probably something each of you can relate to. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts, visions and/or feelings of just exactly what the beach means to you.
