Jingle All The Way

The Annual Crystaland Christmas Parade dazzled the community on Saturday evening. Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce hosted the momentous event for all the excited boys and girls, and Santa’s helpers, too. This has been a trying year for so many. Santa is ready to surf the globe and spread some holiday cheer as we look forward to a new year…but first, he made a quick stop in Bolivar.

The Crystaland Parade grows every year with extravagantly decorated hotrods and jeeps, golf carts, and vibrant floats. All were glowing with lights and garland, dressed-up believers, jingling reindeer, and dolphins, of course. Holiday smiles filled the air! As the parade started at the Crystal Beach Fire Station led by Santa and Mrs. Claus, the floats ventured down the beach spreading Christmas cheer all along the parade route.

When the parade returned to the fire station, Santa and Mrs. Claus met with all the believers, big and small, to hear about their excitement and desires for Christmas morning. In keeping with the annual tradition, the Lighthouse Krewe served hot dogs and refreshments as Larry Skiles tickled the keys of his keyboard, filling the room with holidays tunes. Big Daddy Larry announced the parade winners and the home and business lighting contest winners as well.

Santa and Mrs. Claus have their hands full this year. We all have high expectations for a particularly joyous holiday and anticipated send-off of 2020. Thank you to all of Santa’s elves for another magical parade. Merry Christmas to All!
