KILO 19 – A Walk to Remember is an emotionally charged trip down Crystal Beach supporters come together in solidarity to both remember those lost and to demonstrate commitment to walk strong beside our wounded service members. Families, veterans, active military, and military supporters completed the annual 19 kilometer journey on Sunday to raise awareness for Post Traumatic Stress and veteran suicide prevention. Jeeps and vehicles capable of traveling through sand also participated.
The walk concluded at Tiki Beach Bar and Grill where the participants paraded under a streaming rainbow of water. As a Memorial Day tribute, a giant crane displayed a huge 30-ft x 60-ft American Flag.
