The good times certainly did roll when Crystal Canal marked the official end of summer. This community celebrated with their annual End of Summer party on October 8, 2017. Every year they host a great gathering that includes lots of good food and lots of good music. This year was no exception. Greg Holcombe and Dennis Rollfing stayed up all night to produce the most succulent and tasty briskets that ever crossed human lips. Residents and guests provided more salads, side dishes, dips and desserts than could possibly be consumed by all the attendees.
The Cadillacs’ motto is Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler. They certainly lived up to it. Their band kept young and old dancing away on the grass under bright lights and a big shiny moon. Dakota Wolfe delighted with “Cowgirls Don’t Cry” during a break. Then everyone went back to eating, listening or dancing all over again.

Sometimes folk feel a little sad to say farewell to summer. However, Crystal Canal’s celebration brings smiles and joy to all those privileged to attend. This party makes people believe that summer will come again, and there will always be the Crystal Canal’s party to provide a perfect ending.
