December 18th marks the six year anniversary of the groundbreaking ceremony for a new baseball field at Gregory Park. Unfortunately, due to bureaucratic tie-ups, construction has just now begun. This new facility will replace the old ball field destroyed by Hurricane Ike back in 2008. The original field was located on Noble Carl Drive on the site now occupied by the Crystal Beach Fire Department.
The new baseball field will feature fences, dugouts, and lighting for night play. The expected completion is Spring 2019. The little leaguers of our community thank all the supporters.
