Nesting

Stephanie calls it nesting, I call it house work. Since we decided to stay another month in Maine, we are taking this time to put things back together. Our beautiful home on wheels has taken a beating for the last few months on very rough roads. We are staying at Pumpkin Patch RV park and we have met a man named Bob who is a jack of all trades when it comes to coaches and 5th wheels, thank goodness. Bob was able to investigate a problem we were having with what RR thought was a fuse or an electrical box that was not working. Bob was able to trace the problem to under the carriage of the trailer to a wire that had come loose, yea! We have also had a few problems with things in the under carriage coming loose that were very heavy and they were able to put them back in their proper places. Now RR is working on changing out the cabinet latches that have broken along the way and replacing some of the lights to more efficient LED things. The elusive leak in the tubing for the ice maker has been found and fixed. Hurray!

I finally found a fabric store to shop for drapery material that would go with the pillows and coronets boards. Our furniture is leather and Lil Girl has back claws and those two do not go together. In this great search for material, I have made do with beach towels on the chairs and back of the coach. Of course, nothing matched. Finally, I found a remnant with the same colors in a strip not a design, double Yea! There were just two cut pieces on the bolt and both were only a yard and inches in length. I made do and so happy with the results. It almost matches Lil Girl’s cat hair and that is a good thing too.

We finally have our tent up over the picnic table and the outside rug that we purchased months ago is in place under the chairs. RR is using the BBQ pit much more than I am using the stove. Yea again. This morning we took off to the camper store for parts and “stuff” and while we were there I got RR to check out the new 5th wheel we just knew we could not do without. Well we can and found out we like our home ever so much, so I guess we will stop looking at that other 5th wheel with a gleam in our eyes.

Life is good. Oh yes, our temperature for the day is a high of 76.
