It’s a booming business in Texas – Air Conditioning, that is. Joe Herrmann is no stranger to the AC and Heating business. Joe has owned and operated the Houston based New Horizons Residential and Commercial AC and Heating Company for 40 years. But since his wife, Cheryl Herrmann, retired from a career in education and moved to their home of ten years in Crystal Beach, Joe was ready to join her. So the Herrmanns decided to turn over the family company to their son Dennis, who has been with the company for 18 years. This allowed Joe and Cheryl, now permanent residents of Crystal Beach, to purchase McDonald’s AC and Heating from Mac and Brenda McDonald in December of 2017. With Adon Garcia, a family friend and 18 year experienced AC technician joining the team as a contract worker, has also moved to Bolivar. And soon the third Herrmann son, Taylor, plans to join the family business.
Joe, Cheryl, and Adon have had a busy winter transitioning to their new lives at the beach. All have enjoyed meeting and helping the Crystal Beach homeowners, making friends, and becoming a part of the community.
