Oh Dear! A trip to Wally World!!

Normally RR and I do not go to Wally World together to browse for things we are thinking of purchasing. This is one of those stores we are in and out with a list and maybe a nerve left over. Not this time, we headed out on our beautiful water ferry, and went straight to Jack-in-the-Box for tacos. You have to be fortified to spend extra time in Wally World. OK, our tummies are full, and off we go into the store of total Stupid! We have our usual items on the list but there are several items that we do not shop for at this box store.

One of these items is spray silicone. Of course, we searched on our own. Time consuming, of course, but you would expect this to be in auto or crafts. Finally RR said “this is stupid” and dug into his pocket and out comes the trusty phone. Ya know there is an app for that? The phone said it is on L3 in the auto and tire department. So we look for L3, whatever that is, oh yes, Aisle 3. RR looks up and sees a sticker that says L43, so off we head down the lane counting down. Well, L3 is full of toys and people. So we head back to auto, find a person putting up stock or inventory and ask our question. The reply was so unbelievable, especially to a man who spent his entire working career in stock and origination. We ask where is this product? Her reply was, “I do not know”. RR gives her the information from the app, her reply was, “must be using the internet – we don’t go by that”. He said, “OK, well where is L3?” Reply, “I don’t know, I just work here!”

By now they are both using a tone that is not going to end happy. I break in, grab his arm and head down an aisle, meanwhile, the employee, hollered at the man behind the parts counter. Hey, where is L3?!!” He, of course, all knowing as a parts man said, “What is That?!!” “I just change oil.” Poor RR. I thought he was going to have a stroke. I got in his face and said, “We’ll pick it up at Home Depot, let’s keep walking.”

Meanwhile, down the aisle there is an employee who has a walkie/talkie and moving stock and I say maybe she knows. I am still trying to get him to breathe normal, but he goes along with me. She informs us it must be in auto, we start laughing and explain what we have just been through. She is not happy, stops what she is doing and leads us straight to the product. Thank You Nice Lady!

After finishing our shopping, we head to the pharmacy department to pick up items we had called in at 9 am. You know the items to be ready by 1 pm. It is now 2 pm. They send him over to the order counter and our order is bumped up and will be ready in 10 minutes, sure! Sometimes their 10 minutes can be an hour and a half – I know.

After we leave this fun place and heading back to the ferry, I turn to RR and say, “I think it is cocktail time!”
