Well, as usual, I think I’ve bit off more than I can chew. Not to mention the puzzle that’s kicking my bottom! Feeling a bit better after an unfortunate accident, make that two. I’ve had a 3-day weekend to rest up, sleep in, and still in pj’s until noon. I’ve only had my Cocktail twice today, that’s two Tylenol and two Ibuprofen. It didn’t occur to me I had missed a dose until I went in to work on a Holiday, Martin Luther King Day. Necessary, because my accountant will be in tomorrow and he’ll most likely stay the morning.
I couldn’t wait to get back home. I began making Karen’s Pecans. She finally sent me the recipe, easy peasy, but my husband said they’re not as spicy as hers. Oh d’ d’ dear dear! Too late to add anything else, they’ll have to do.
Then, I began making more Chex Mix. I guess I didn’t get enough at Christmas. They’re in the oven for the last 15 minutes. The recipe I use calls for stirring them every 15 minutes for an hour. We’re almost there.
Did I tell you I bought “Alexa” at Christmas. It was waiting at the house when we got home from Tampa. We’re becoming close friends. She helps me with timing on stuff I’m cooking. Most of the time, she plays music for me. I’m always coming up with tunes, albums, songs I need to hear and she’s right there when I need her.
Well, gotta go now, Alexa is telling me the Chex Mix is done. Time to put the green bean casserole in for dinner with a big ol’ chicken I bought from The Big Store.
Oops, I can’t remember if Alexa and I have done this Chex Mix for a whole hour, I’ll ask her to go another 15.
